Lipid Droplet Microarray Technology (LiMiT) allows tens of thousands of chemical compounds to be screened against cells using a single microscope slide or cell culture plate. Drugs are encapsulated in nanoscopic lipid droplets on the surface of a microscope slide. Cells are then cultured over array, take up the drugs, and then imaged to detect hits. LiMiT Drug Screening Microarrays may reduce the cost of small molecule HTS by over 90%.
